Each worked in multi color wool threads, the first depicting a child playing the violin under the tutelage of his elderly teacher, housed a painted and beveled frame (DOA 18 x 15.75 in.) (tacking to board visible at top; some thread loss upper left; frame with nicks and scratches; not examined out of frame); the second with allover motifs depicting various scenes and motifs, signed Betsy and dated 1889, unframed (SS 24 x 24.75 in.) (tacked to mount; areas of stitching loss).
