Consisting of a gilt medal with hanger and a smaller version of the same, both in original presentation box. Included is a manuscript note by the recipient as follows: "Given to Frances B. Carmody in 1931 - by Pope Pius XI in his private study. He also gave me the title 'Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice' the third lady in the U. S. to receive it. Signed - Frances B. Carmody."
