With underglaze mark for 1788 but likely dating from the 19th century, composed of cobalt hard-paste porcelain with gilt bronze ormolu mounts, the urn of baluster form with two large hand-painted reserves of landscape and hunting scenes, signed "Wouwermans" (in the manner of), hinged gilt bronze carrying handles and a domed cover with berry knob.
