A former house painter, Woodiie discontinued his occupation for health reasons. He then began a new career of 'memory paintings'. A self taught artist, his works show pattern, color, and balance as well as depiction of figures in movement. The Woodie Long Gallery and Museum is open in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
