A former house painter, Woodiie discontinued his occupation for health reasons. He then began a new career of 'memory paintings'. A self taught artist, his works show pattern, color, and balance as well as depiction of figures in movement. The Woodie Long Art Gallery and Museum i open in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
