Accompanied by current (2018) letter from Bob Trotman authenticating that he was the builder of this oak trestle table. Trotman is a well-known NC sculptor, born in Winston-Salem in 1947. He has received the National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artist Fellowship twice and has works in many distinguished collections including the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, Rhode Island School of Design, the U.S. Vice President's Residence, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, among others.
