.52 caliber rimfire breechloader, 21 in. round barrel marked STARR ARMS * YONKERS, N.Y., two additional markings and an 1858 patent date; walnut stock with barrel band; iron mounts including buttplate, lever and sling ring.

Norm Flayderman noted that 5000 of these guns were delivered between March and May 1865.

Working action; light oxidation to metal surfaces; lacking screw on trigger guard's tang; stock with losses, carvings and eight empty decorative tack holes to butt. Overall solid attic condition.
