Massachusetts, mid-18th century, walnut, walnut veneer, cherry, white pine secondary, two-part form, dovetailed upper case with applied step molding, cove molded frieze reveals secret upper drawer, the case with two side-by-side drawers above three drawers, all veneered and with double line herringbone veneered border, the base with applied waist molding, two side-by-side drawers above three side-by-side drawers, all nicely veneered and with herringbone inlay border, boldly scalloped skirt with applied cockbeading, drop acorn finials, the whole raised on tall graceful cabriole legs with pad feet.
