First quarter 19th century, worked in multi color silk on linen ground, upper register with five alphanumeric rows and bottom composition depicting a waterscape with ship sailing to center, house and couple to each side, all within a sawtooth border, outer side borders with vine and grape clusters and top border with floral motif, housed under glass in a gilt and gesso frame. With stitched paper label to lower left inscribed in ink and appearing to read "Miss Maria Bryant / B Xmas 1800 D Jan 14 1800."
