18th century, the larger mahogany veneer and elm, with pronounced crest rail, banded back splat, shaped slip seat, with damask upholstery, scalloped skirt with carved shell, acanthus carved knee on cabriole legs with pad foot; the other mahogany and mixed woods with shaped and scroll carved crest rail, pierced back splat featuring double heart, later green velvet upholstered seat, molded seat rail, turned stretcher base, on cabriole legs with pad foot.

Fair to poor condition; larger with veneer chips; staining and wear to upholstery; shrinkage crack at crest rail joint, break and repair to rear right leg; other with veneer chips; break and repair to crest rail at joint; later stabilization to splat at upper heart, later upholstery with staining; break and repair front legs at ankles; rear feet tipped.
