Circa 1940, beech, consisting of four armchairs and ten side chairs, curved crest rail, with oval back supports, light green naugahyde upholstery with brass nailhead trim, on turned and tapered legs, unmarked.

From the Estate of the late Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans, Durham, NC

Bock, a renowned interior designer, was brought down from New York in the 1930s to design and furnish several interiors for the Duke family and University. This dining room suite was custom built for the Pinecrest residence.

Tears and staining to upholstery; scuffs to feet; one armchair with shrinkage cracks to oval back.
