As follows: the first catlinite pipe is signed "Maza A Didi" on the underside and depicts a bear grabbing a tree trunk (3.5 x 5.5 in.); the second catlinite pipe is signed "L. Garrigan Red Lake MN." at the stem and is fashioned with eagle talons clutching the bowl (3 x 6.25 in.); the third pipe is of bone and is inset with four pieces of abalone shell (3 x 10.5 in.).
