Philadelphia or New York, circa 1840, carved mahogany with flame mahogany veneers, rounded crestrail terminating in acanthus leaf and bold scroll, with later striped silk upholstery and brass nailhead trim, acanthus and cornucopia carved knee on hairy paw feet, with brass casters.
