Oil on oak panel, unsigned, 18th century or earlier, retaining a Sammlung Schubart label to the verso, inscribed "51" to top center verso of panel and inscribed in white chalk to verso "nach Bad Homburg," presented in a 20th century gilt composition frame.

It is a near copy of a painting generally considered to be an authentic work by Jacob van Ruisdael in the Schlossmuseum Weimar.
