2nd half 19th century, no maker's mark or serial number, the firearm consisting of two 34 in. barrels, one approximately 12 gauge for a shotgun and the other approximately .40 caliber to accommodate a round ball, adjustable rear sight and fixed fore sight; pipes secure a wooden ramrod on either side of the barrels, iron mounts throughout; the walnut stock features a german silver patchbox on its right side.
Southern Private Collection Smooth original patina throughout; working action, however right hammer needs adjustment to stay cocked.
