Attributed to Norfolk, Virginia, circa 1770, circular hinge top, underside with battens and dovetailed box-form bird cage, ring turned standard, tripod base, the underside of each arched leg with stylized scrolled cut-out, on raised pad feet.

Underside of standard retains three nail points that may have attached an underside circular domed disc. There likely were bosses on the small projections on the upper section of the legs. While none are currently present, there is one boss wedged in between one leg piercing.

Good estate condition; some light wear and staining to top; later key.
