with the original rebuilt 5.3 L twelve cylinder Jaguar V12 engine and four-speed transmission. Featuring independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends, and power assisted four wheel disc brakes and steering. The 3 Series no longer offered the short wheel base chassis FHC configuration. This afforded roomier interiors of the convertibles. It is fitted with correct fifteen inch wire wheels with knock offs.
This wonderful car underwent a complete restoration that took over two years to complete. It was commissioned by the family of the original owner upon his passing, in his honor. Netcong Auto Restorations in Netcong, New Jersey completed the restoration in 2013 and a video of it can be seen here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=pvfePMtqOGk
Full documentation of the restoration is available.
