Circa 1800, oak and pine secondary, three-part form, broken arch cornice with central tympanum and stylized dentil molding above a plain veneered frieze above two hinged mullioned doors, interior with two louvered shelves above three lower side-by-side (replaced) drawers, the desk featuring two upper pull-out candle slides above a hinged lipped writing lid with loper supports, interior with four open compartments and nine small drawers above four graduated cockbeaded drawers with three-quarter length dustboards, applied base molding, raised on a shaped bracket foot base.

Retains a label from Otto Zenke, Greensboro, NC.

Missing finial at cornice; bookcase section lower three drawers appear to be rebuilt and later to the case; shrinkage cracks to writing lid; replaced pulls; rear left and right feet tipped lower four inches; shrinkage crack to front left and right original feet; some cockbeading loss.
