18th century, probably Boston school, mahogany, shaped vasiform back splat, molded seat rail with slip seat, distinctive cabriole leg with molded knee, raised pad foot, rear stiles fully developed in the Queen Anne manner.

Cut and repair at joint between splat and crest; later corner blocks.
