Martin Luther (Nurenburg: Johann Andrea, 1768), over 1,000 pages, large folio (18.5 in.), tooled leather boards with remnants of gilt and silk paste downs. A front free endpaper carries a Pittsburgh inscription in nearly illegible German dated September 17, 1866 that mentions New York and $25. This is preceded by a 20th century typed note saying "(the bible) was bought by my grandfather for $25." The connection may or may not be coincidental.

Internally very good; the front covers is hanging on whereas the back board is detached; hasps are missing. Overall restorable in good condition.
