A natural and brown stained bone variation on the early Selenus theme. The "Selenus" style chess set is named after a 1616 chess book published in Leipzig by the Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg under the pseudonym "Gustavus Selenus." This was the first German chess book.

The white rook's tower has a slight lean, else good estate condition for the set.
