The first an ink on paper of a matador, signed at lower right, matted and framed under glass (DOA 13 1/8 x 18 5/8 in.); the second an ink on paper illustration for Mutiny on the Bounty, signed at lower left, matted and framed under glass (DOA 13 5/8 x 11 5/8 in.); and the third a watercolor and gouache on paper illustration of an early astronomer and men, appears unsigned, matted and framed under glass (DOA 15 1/8 x 14 5/8 in.).

Robert Clifford Magis was a noted artist and illustrator for National Geographic magazine specialized in illustrations of both the ancient world and the space age.
He was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from the Philadelphia Museum College of Art.

Good estate condition - not examined out of the frames.
