First half of the 19th century, possibly eastern Virginia or North Carolina, walnut and mixed hardwoods, white pine seat, crest with open frieze and arched peak, shaped ear, stiles with interior scratch bead, shaped and pierced backsplat with double bird beak cut-out, scrolled arms, turned arm supports, applied plank seat, turned and tapered front legs.

Front and rear edge of seat cut and replaced; left side of skirt with wood break and loss by arm support, both arm supports reset; wear and marring to front legs; shrinkage crack to front right leg; break and repair to upper right stile by rest joint.
