Attributed to Virginia, early 19th century, mahogany veneer, white pine secondary, rectangular hinged top with canted corners and reeded edge, lid swivels to reveal an open compartment, vertical mahogany veneers to skirt with central inlaid nautilus shell, base of skirt with light and dark wood herringbone inlay, upper leg stile with inlaid rectangular burl veneer, tall reeded tapered legs with brass capped ball feet.
