Attributed to Wilmington, North Carolina, circa 1800-1810, mahogany veneers, inlaid, white pine secondary, rectangular hinged top with convex cut corners, light and dark wood triple line inlay to edge, lid with fifth leg gateleg support, each skirt panel with oval and highly figured veneers, upper stile block with inlaid feather and sword, the side of stiles with three rows of triple line inlay, tall square tapered legs, the front facing with upper dot inlay extended with lightwood line inlay to inlaid cuff.

Note unusual concave corner lapping to front and rear skirt and dovetailed central medial brace.

Top board with full-width shrinkage crack and wear; four diagonal cut and patches to hinge area; lower top board with large full-width shrinkage cracks; some leg bracing to underside of top; top reset.
