Necklace is from Reed & Barton's "Signature V Collection" introduced in 1977. Authors Jane Koplos and Bruce Metcalf write in "Makers: A History of American Studio Craft", that Reed and Barton introduced the collection "attempting to capitalize on the artistic reputation of five well known jewelers." Mary Ann Scherr was one of the five joining Glenda Arentzen, Arline Fisch, Ronald Pearson, and Lynda Watson.
