This sitter bears a striking resemblance to a portrait of Thomas Vesey (1735-1804), 2nd Baron Knapton and 1st Viscount de Vesci of Abbey Leix, Queen's County, attributed to Mason Chamberlain and sold at Sotheby's "Old Master Paintings and British Paintings," April 29, 2010, lot 241.

Scattered re-touch throughout visible under UV light; stable craquelure; yellowing varnish.
