Late 18th century, two-part form, poplar, chestnut, and yellow pine secondary, upper dovetailed bookcase with applied molded cornice with Greek key motif, two hinged paneled doors with molded liner, interior with two shelves, yellow pine backboards with rose head nail construction, top bookcase has a one-inch rear overhang, presumably for chair rail molding; dovetailed base with hinged lipped slant lid with breadboard ends, divided interior with three drawers and eight pigeon holes, lopers, four graduated flush long drawers, on shaped bracket foot base, chestnut rear boards with cut nail construction, drawer secondary is poplar.

Rear right side of upper case with six-inch cut and patch; molding break and loss to top of right side base; cut and patch to lower left hinge area; base missing one valance to interior; staining and wear to writing surface; later drawer glides; later pulls; left rear foot with one-inch tip; front right and rear right foot facings and feet replaced.
