Attributed to James Gheen, Rowan County, late 18th century, yellow pine secondary, rectangular top with molded edge and cut front corners, two over three graduated lipped drawers, half dust boards, flanked by fluted quarter columns with lower lamb's tongue; applied molded base trim raised on distinctive ogee bracket feet with Gheen style front-to-rear foot bracing.

36.75 x 41.5 x 19.75 in.

Drawer runners rebuilt; later drawer guides; replaced pulls; left and right rear feet tipped; chip and loss to right front corner foot face.
