Second half 19th century, two 37.75 in. octagonal barrels, one rifled with a 12mm bore and one smooth with a 13mm bore, brass piping secures a wooden ramrod on either side; walnut stock with brass trigger guard, patch box and butt plate; steel hammers are fitted to lockplates engraved with gamebird motifs, the plate on the right stamped G. GOULCHER and the one on the left marked JOSh GOLCHER.

Patinated surfaces throughout; hammers will not hold when pulled back; a few dings consistent with field use; good estate condition.
