Harriet Bellows received a B.F.A. and a M.F.A. from the College of Art and Design at Alfred University studying with Robert Turner and Val Cushing. After a career as a professional pilot, she retired to Durham, North Carolina where she studied painting with Beverly McIver and trained in silkscreen printing at Super Graphics. She now lives and creates from a studio just outside Alfred, New York.
