The first gold filled, circa 1887, stem wind and lever set, movement 2494041, fifteen jewels, the singed white dial with black enamel Roman numeral hour markers, with outer five minute register, subsidiary seconds dial at the 6:00 hour and with blued steel spade hands, works signed Elgin Ill., the screw back case engraved depicting a stag, stamped Fahys / Montauk / 5206925 (Case 2 1/8 in. diameter; 18s) (light scratching to case; running at time of examination); the second in a base metal case, circa 1882, stem wind and lever set, movement 904976, eleven jewels, the signed white dial with black Roman numeral hour indicators and outer minutes register, subsidiary dial at the 6:00 hour and with blued steel spade hands, the screw back case marked Keystone / Base Metal / 0990165, with watch chain (case 2 1/8 in. diameter; 18s) (case with scratching and rubbing; with replaced crown; running at time of examination).
