New York Classical Carved Dresser with Gilt-Stencil Decoration

Circa 1830, attributed to Holmes and Haines, mahogany, mahogany veneers, poplar and white pine secondary, hinged rectangular mirror with interior and exterior border gilt stencil, supported by shaped and acanthus carved arms, raised on three upper setback side-by-side drawers, the center bowfront, the case with an applied convex vertical veneered edge above an upper projecting convex drawer above two deep bowfront drawers, flanked by fully turned columns with Corinthian capital, paneled sides, turned and decorated feet with suppressed ball, gilt stencil decoration to border of all drawers.
