An inscription on the verso reads:
"This antique hooked rug was a gift to Joann and Henry Perkins from Mrs. Lucille Page Blake in 1962. The rug had formerly belonged to her mother." A copy of a letter from the consignor is included in this lot describing the history of the rug passed down through a Bostonian family and gifted to the consignor.
