The sitter wears a gray frock coat while holding a pocket revolver and a bowie knife; the uniform's four visible buttons and his trousers are tinted a light blue. Presented in a full leather case.

This soldier is said to be a member of the Wilkerson family of Granville County, NC. Though unidentified, he might be one of several aging Granville County Wilkersons who enlisted in their thirties.

Somewhat dark with spotting in the fields; the case lid is detached; overall good condition.
