Gabriel Smith has a B.Arch from Tulane University and a M.Arch from Harvard University. He is a Director at Thomas Phifer and Partners in New York. Through this firm, Smith was involved with the design of the Museum of Modern Art Warsaw and served as project director on the Glenstone Museum, Potomac, Maryland, Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, New York, and the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, North Carolina.
