Early 19th century, poplar and white pine secondary, hinged lipped slant lid with central inlaid paterae and quarter fans, interior and exterior light and dark wood inlaid panelings, interior with inlaid prospect door revealing two drawers flanked by two document drawers flanked by two upper scalloped drawers above four shaped pigeon holes above four dovetailed small drawers to each side, four graduated cockbeaded drawers, each with triple line inlay, scalloped skirt with triple line inlaid band and three inlaid oval panels that repeat the motif from the prospect door, on French bracket feet.

Shrinkage crack and warp to hinged lid; old crazed surface throughout; pulls likely replaced but in original holes; feet are original but with repair to rear left foot; veneer chip to left side skirt; veneer chip and loss to front right skirt; right rear foot with repair.
