Late 18th century, mahogany veneer, pine and oak secondary, dovetailed case with mahogany veneer, hinged lipped slant lid with loper supports, interior with hinged central prospect drawer flanked by two vertical document drawers with Chinese Chippendale fretwork, four pigeon holes and ten small drawers, case with four graduated cockbeaded drawers, full dustboards, applied molded base, raised on ogee bracket feet.
42.25 x 38.5 x 20.75 in. Case width 36.25 in.
Slight warp to writing lid; wear to writing surface; wear and light marring to drawer fronts; replaced pulls but in original holes; front right foot tipped lower two inches; replaced rear braces, but overall feet original.
