Lot Details & Additional Photographs
The books are of tooled leather with brass hasps (approximately 7 in. spines); the images range in date from the 1860s-1880s, including both tintypes and CDVs, random samplings of the latter indicate a predominance of New York backmarks; photographs in one book are identified in pencil and seem to be of couples and friends as there are a wide variety of surnames present. Three loose images, early 1900s, are included, one of which is a topical tintype that features two boys holding directional signs to Panama.
Larger album 7 in. tall
Outer wear; internal foxing and age toning; a few splits to pages as expected; one album lacking a hasp and having a loose spine.
