19th or 20th century, a square shaped vase hand painted in the vivid Yoshidaya palette of Kutani greens, blues, yellows, and purple with lush patterned ground with medallions of flora alternating with sides showing large blooms and birds, underside has a green square maker's mark, drilled for lamp fitting, on hardwood base, with shade.
