Edward Corbett was an Abstract Expressionist artist whose work was inspired by the various places he lived and traveled throughout the United States. Like Provincetown that is offered here, he often titled his paintings after the location of inspiration.

Corbett’s paintings are present in a number of major museum collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.
