Early 19th century, painted wood face reading "S. Thomas Plymouth," with two subsidiary dials, wood works, arched hood with cove molded cornice, hinged glazed tombstone door with four fully-turned columns, case with hinged cockbeaded waist door with canted corners, raised on later turned feet, with pendulum and weights.

Handwritten notes to back of face read "repaired by C. Cowan of Asheville, NC, February 28th, 1865" and others dated 1931 and 1991.
