The first a Hamilton, stem wind and lever set, movement 15673 with seventeen jewels, dial with black enamel Arabic hour markers, with subsidiary seconds dial at the 3:00 hour and with blued steel fleur de lis hands, the screw back case signed Defiance / 3144785 (2 1/8 in. diameter; 18s) (crystal with minute nicks at bevel; case with scratches; running at time of examination); the second by Waltham, movement 3259813, twenty-three jewels, dial signed Waltham / Vanguard 23 Jewels, the dial with black Arabic hour markers, outer minutes register, with subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade and whip hands, the screw back case stamped Waltham / Keystone / J. Boss / 10K / Gold Filled / 8075188 (case 2 in. diameter) (good estate condition; with minor enamel loss; scratches to case; running at time of examination).
