Circa 1820, attributed to Rowan County, poplar six-board dovetailed case construction, rectangular molded lid with applied molded battens and butt hinges, till to the left interior side, molded dovetailed and shaped bracket feet, green painted field featuring double swags with tassel drops, rosettes to corners, motif repeats to each side panel.

Expected paint wear to top board; missing lock; later corner brace blocks at feet; front left side facing missing spur tip; some shrinkage splits to foot facings; feet and paint are original; paint with allover alligatored surface.
