Born in Paris, Maximilienne Guyon-Goepp studied at the Académie Julian with Tony Robert-Fleury, Jules Joseph Lefebvre, and Gustave Boulanger. She exhibited frequently during her lifetime, including numerous Salons, the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, and the Exposition Universelle.
