Circa 1820-30, horizontal crestrail with reeded raised center section, stiles and crestrail relief carved to create beaded edge, highly developed pierced splat to include a central relief carved vine and leaf flanked by a similar but smaller motif, four corners of rosettes, with central lower carved demilune, downswept shaped arms with scratchbead, turned and reeded arm supports, over upholstered seat, square tapered front legs, downswept rear legs, on stretcher base.

Later upholstery in poor condition with staining; hairline crack and possible repair to upper right side of stile; hairline crack and likely repair to left arm by stile joint; wear to front edges of front legs.
