English, 18th century, decorated in the Worcester pattern which originated in the 1760s consisting of scale patterned cobalt blue glazed ground, gilt and polychrome cartouches framed in gilt Rococo borders and containing fanciful colorful birds, now known as the “Chelsea Bird” Pattern. Smaller cartouches contain butterflies and insects likely interpreted from Chinese export porcelains; unmarked.
