The factory was started by Anthony Pennis in 1756, this large tin-glazed pottery charger, decorated in five colors, features the unusual theme of a musician standing in a boat upon stylized water, surrounded by bands of blossoms and vines, underside with conjoined "AP" mark.

2.25 x 16 5/8 in.

Minor edge fritting; several underglaze tight lines; some expected pitting due to firing and age. Very good condition for 18th century Delft. Examined under UV light.
