1920s or earlier, to include: three necklaces made of small clear and colored glass beads terminating in looped strands (one necklace with some unraveling thread; another separated in one place); two beaded headbands (the longer one lacking clasp); a woven silk and grass bangle with geometric pattern decoration (2.5 in. internal diameter).

Private North Carolina Collection

From the collection of Mrs. Harriet Nottingham, an Ohio missionary serving the Navajos of Shiprock, New Mexico in the 1920s. Tribal members presented her with the artifacts here as a farewell gesture of thanks and goodwill upon her departure from the reservation.
