19th century, red silk ground embroidered with silk and metallic threads, decorated with abundant auspicious marriage symbols including Hehe er xian the two immortals of harmony and union associated with happy marriages, they sit below a large double happiness symbol, to either side are cranes with deer, both symbols of longevity, the lower portion shows a family gathering in an elaborate pavilion with bridal procession below, the entire panel is embellished with floral sprays of peonies and plum blossoms, a black border surrounds the panel, lined and mounted with pole holder to reverse.
